Anonymous testimonials and case studies are meaningless. We are always happy to connect prospective clients to past clients whenever confidentiality permits.
How does Reverse Head-hunting differ from Headhunting?
Reverse Head-hunting is where Accipitor searches for a number of opportunities for an individual client. Headhunting or search and selection is where the consultant is paid by the employer and searches for a number of suitable candidates for one opportunity.
How are your fees calculated?
We are professional advisors just like lawyers or accountants and costs are determined by the amount of time required.
Why do you not represent unemployed executives?
Because the dynamic has changed, their circumstances usually prevent them from being leveraged.
What happens if I become unemployed whilst working with you?
Timing is everything. We may have to adapt our strategy but we will of course continue to represent you. Unemployed does not mean unemployable.
How do you differ from other career management services?
We are not career managers in the accepted sense, which is often another term for outplacement. We do not have self-employed commission only ‘Directors’ fronting the organisation. We are consultants in career strategy, developing bespoke solutions and usually represent our clients’ best interests over a long period of time.
What is the difference between you and an outplacement consultancy?
If you are considering outplacement you probably do not have the profile we are looking for.
Why are you unlimited in time?
Each and every assignment will have expected and unexpected outcomes. To achieve our mutual objective of reputation enhancement we must give this unique degree of comfort.
Why are your fees not based on salaries or earnings?
This formula comes from outplacement where the ex-employer is paying and/or where the commissioned salesman has a vested interest in the deal. We believe it is unacceptable to have fees based on salary packages rather than delivery.
How will the process go?
There is no prescriptive process; this is an art not a science. We will determine a number of strategies and then adapt as necessary until we reach the desired outcome.
Which sectors/disciplines are you most active in?
We cover most sectors and disciplines; however we will ask to be excused from working with a client when we do not think we can add value.
Do you have a desired client profile?
Yes, our clients are likely to be aged between 35 and 55 years. Their career will be in the ascendant. They will be employed and earning or have the potential to earn in excess of £200k.
Do you cover Non-Executive Directorships?
Yes, this is very much part of our remit.
How do you maintain confidentiality and promote anonymously?
Our clients’ confidentiality is sacrosanct. We recognize they must not be embarrassed with their existing organisation or network and cannot be devalued in the marketplace either. We use the EPI® to promote anonymously and only send a CV with the clients’ permission. An essential element of the Accipitor offer is that it puts our clients “in the driving seat”.
What time commitment do you expect from your clients?
Obviously some time is required when we start working together. We do recognise that our clients are extremely busy and travel frequently; therefore we are prepared to be quite flexible.
Do you continue to work with clients once they have achieved their initial target?
Yes, we will have focussed most executives to think further ahead than their peers. We get to know our clients extremely well and value the relationships. We frequently mentor and coach our clients on an ongoing basis and connect them to other high flyers.
